SPRING BREAK IN HAWAII🌺This trip was one for the travel memoir: what an EPIC mother/daughter adventure. You name it, we probably did it: 12 days, 7 planes, 5 rental cars, 4 islands, and a boat.

🌋We watched the volcano erupt and lava flow under the most surreal blanket of stars in Big Island and even jumped in the water at night to swim with 12 foot manta rays.

🐠We snorkeled off the side of the road in gorgeous bays and beautiful reefs in Maui and cruised by ATVs through Jurassic Valley in Oahu.

🌴We saw the foggy Napali Coast and Waimea Canyon stocked with waterfalls in Kauai and hiked through rainforests, lava tubes, craters, and coastal shorelines at every turn.

We enjoyed all of the Hawaiian vibes from luas to cultural tours to seeing whales, dolphins, huge sea turtles, tropical fish, and brightly-colored birds. We ate local treats, four-wheeled through rough roads and inactive volcanoes and constantly switched between our swim suits and hiking gear—just the way I like it.

👉🏻READY FOR THE CLIFFHANGER? We also got robbed in Maui👀 We now know how to navigate airport security without identification, how to communicate with the police without cell reception and have come back to the Midwest with oh, so many travel stories to tell.

Every single moment felt out of this world and akin to reliving scenes from blockbuster action movies—the best kind of adventure🤙🏻

DAY DATE WITH MY MOMMA🌸 We loved seeing the Broadway tour of ‘Water for Elephants’! I was familiar with the book, but the storyline set to music + the acrobatics and puppetry really made this story come to life. What a great show!

Visiting Alaska is like stepping back in time—and the city of Valdez is no exception: the harbor literally is the town. This small coastal city is nestled at the base of the mountains and would you believe it: it’s known as the snowiest town in the US👀

⚓️population of less than 4,000 people
⚓️300 miles from the city of Anchorage
⚓️median age of 38 years old

Of all the cities in Alaska to visit, I actually think Valdez was my favorite!!
